ROME — AmeriCU Credit Union said it is participating in the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s Homebuyer Dream Program Plus (HDP Plus).
The initiative offers eligible first-time homebuyers the opportunity to receive a grant of up to $7,500 to assist with down-payment and closing costs.
The grant funding will be available until Aug. 30 or until funds are exhausted, according to AmeriCU.
“We are thrilled to participate in the HDP Plus program and support first-time homebuyers in achieving their dream of homeownership,” Mary Leuthauser, AmeriCU’s AVP-mortgage loan operations, said in a statement. “This grant provides a substantial financial boost, making homeownership more accessible for many families in our community.”
Additional Resources
AmeriCU said it also offers educational resources and personalized guidance to help buyers navigate the complexities of purchasing a home.
“Homeownership through this program means more than just having a place to live; it represents an investment in one’s future, providing stability and the opportunity to build equity,” the credit union added.
