ALBANY, N.Y. –The $90-million Alternatives FCU here has joined UsNet, a CUSO that provides shared branching services.
AFCU has joined the network as both an acquirer and issuer. Under the agreement, members of other credit unions in the network will be allowed to perform transactions at Alternatives FCU’s branch. Conversely, members of Alternatives FCU will be permitted to perform transactions at other participating credit unions.
Alternatives FCU is the first Ithaca-based credit union to join UsNet and is the only shared branching participant in the New York Credit Union Association’s Finger Lakes Chapter. UsNet is a partner in the CO-OP Shared Branch Network.
