NAPERVILLE, Ill.—The third winner in Alloya Corporate FCU’s “10 for 10 for 10” initiative has been named: Lake Trust Foundation.
As CUToday.info has reported, Alloya is celebrating its 10th anniversary, which falls on Oct. 24, by donating $10,000 to 10 charities over 10 days.
Lake Trust Foundation was nominated by Lake Trust Credit Union in Brighton, Mich. The Lake Trust Foundation was established to enhance Lake Trust Credit Union’s core value of “making a difference.” They are committed to positively impacting Michigan communities and creating a brighter future for those in their state, Alloya said.
“Lake Trust Credit Union elected to nominate the Lake Trust Foundation due to their contributions to local revitalization efforts and small businesses along with the hope that they offer for those in need. From donating nearly 3,000 winter coats to students in Michigan to providing over 307,000 meals to area food banks, they have worked with supporters to make a remarkable impact. The Foundation offers grants, donations, outreach programs and scholarship opportunities to encourage revitalization and make an impact in local neighborhoods. Lake Trust Credit Union proudly serves over 170,000 members in Michigan,” Alloya said.
Alloya congratulated Lake Trust Credit Union and the Lake Trust Foundation for being the third winner of the 10 for 10 for 10 charitable donation program.
The Selection Process
The 10 for 10 for 10 charity nomination and selection process is being driven by Alloya’s 1,400 credit union members, the corporate said. In total, credit unions nominated 101 charities between Sept. 27 and Oct. 8. In the days leading up to its 10-year anniversary, Alloya is announcing the winners of its charitable donation program through a daily announcement at 10:00 am CT on its website at www.alloyacorp.org/winyour10. In addition, CUToday.info will also announce each day’s winner. The program concludes on Monday, Oct. 25.
