Alloya Corporate Draws Record Crowd to Leadership Symposium

LAS VEGAS— Alloya Corporate FCU is reporting its ninth annual Credit Union Executive Leadership Symposium drew record attendance, with numerous subjects on the agenda, including a special focus on artificial intelligence.

In all, Alloya said 203 professionals from 137 CUs across 25 states attended the meeting in Las Vegas.

The 2023 Symposium paid special attention to artificial intelligence as credit union leaders continue to explore how the technology is reshaping the industry, according to Alloya.

AI-focused speakers included keynote Allie K. Miller, AI entrepreneur, advisor and investor, and Bill Barnes, principal program manager at Microsoft.

‘Honor & Privilege’

“It was Alloya’s honor and privilege to host an extraordinary number of credit union professionals at our Leadership Symposium,” said Alloya’s Tim Bruculere, SVP- membership. “Every year, we aspire to deliver thought-provoking information and memorable experiences, but it is our wonderful attendees that truly bring the event to life. Credit union connection is what the Symposium is all about.”

Others addressing the meeting included:

  • Keynoter Duncan Wardle, head of innovation and creativity for Disney
  • Keynoter Alex Sheen, founder of the international social movement “Because I said I would”
  • Jim Knight, former leadership trainer at Hard Rock Café – Hard Rock International.
  • Representative of Alloya who led discussions around topics that included the economy, faster payments, digital transformation and financial inclusion.

Networking Opportunities

In addition, Alloya said that supplementing the education sessions were networking events,  including a reception and dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant and Alloya’s Football Night—this year with an appearance from Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback and Buffalo Bills veteran Jim Kelly.

“We cannot thank our attendees enough for setting aside the time and resources to join us for our Symposium, and we hope you’ll consider joining us again next year as we celebrate 10 years of the event in Nashville,” Bruculere said.
