NAPERVILLE, Ill.––The Credit Union Executive Leadership Symposium is set to return to Chicago on Sept. 7-9, 2016, at the Westin Chicago River North.
In its second year, the symposium, hosted by Alloya Corporate FCU and its wholly-owned CUSO, Balance Sheet Solutions, LLC will bring together credit union executives from across the nation, and provide education on industry trends, economic factors and leadership.
“Promising to build off of the success of last year’s inaugural event, which welcomed 130 attendees from 101 credit unions, the symposium will feature multiple sessions and networking opportunities, and participants are invited to attend the corporate’s Board of Directors Annual Meeting,” Alloya said in a statement.
“We have heard from many of the credit unions in attendance at last year’s inaugural symposium who wanted this event to continue and grow,” said Alloya’s Tim Bruculere, senior vice president, membership. “We are delighted to not only host this year’s event in Chicago for a second year, but to offer so many educational sessions geared towards technology, investments, strategic planning and some innovative approaches to leading credit union teams.”
Notable speakers include renowned leadership author and this year’s symposium keynote presenter, John Baldoni, whose most recent release, “MOXIE: The Secret of Bold and Gutsy Leadership” has earned a coveted four-star review rating from Success Magazine. Additional accolades for Baldoni: named a top thought leader by Trust Across America; a top 50 expert for leadership management by Inc.com; and a top 30 leadership expert by Global Gurus.
Additional session speakers: Ken Otsuka, a senior consultant in business protection risk management for CUNA Mutual Group; Steve Rick, chief economist for CUNA Mutual Group; Alix Patterson, chief operating officer for Callahan and Associates; Marian Ruderman, director of the Research Horizons Group at the Center for Creative Leadership; and Tom Slefinger, senior vice president of institutional fixed income sales for Balance Sheet Solutions. In addition, several other industry experts from Alloya, Balance Sheet Solutions, CU Business Group and OnX Managed Services will also be on hand.
