LEWISTON, Maine—After 44 years, will no longer preside over Rainbow FCU’s annual meetings here.
The March annual meeting of the credit union was the last for the credit union’s CEO, who is retiring June 30, reported the Maine Credit Union League. John Murphy, president of the league, attended the credit union’s annual meeting at the Franco American Center to present Moreau with a plaque in recognition of his contributions.
"It was nice to have the meeting at the same location as where my first meeting was held,” said Moreau in comments reported by the Maine league. “Back then, it was a church and now it's known as the Franco American Center but, in many ways, it really felt like everything came full circle. It was nice to see a significant increase in attendance over previous years and, while bittersweet, I have to admit it will be nice sitting with the membership next year."
The league reported that in May, Moreau will attend his last Annual Meeting of the Maine Credit Union League as a member of the League board, and will be recognized for his contributions to the League and Maine's credit unions at that time.
