Affinity Plus Part Of County’s New Online Video Portal

ST. PAUL, Minn.–A new online video portal that showcases Ramsey County, Minn. as well as Affinity Plus FCU member stories and other community businesses, has gone live on the county’s website.

The county video series includes a welcome segment for new and current residents, businesses and visitors. Separate installments share information about workforce solutions; parks and recreation; and the county library system.

Affinity Plus’ three videos, which can be accessed by clicking on the Affinity Plus logo at the top of the screens, features three diverse credit-union member stories, the credit union said:

  • Keyondra Yarbrough, founder of the Wolves Den, explains how Affinity Plus is helping with financial education to participants of the culturally based group residential-housing program for American Indian women;
  • Suzanne Clark and George Derringer recount how Suzanne introduced George to the credit union when they first married, and how the services fit their busy retirement lifestyle;
  • Dan Schmidt, Great River Office products vice president, explains how Affinity Plus is a vital partner in his long-standing community business.

According to Dave Larson, Affinity Plus president/CEO, the credit union chose to partner with Ramsey County on the portal, in part, because it agrees with sentiments Victoria Reinhardt, Ramsey County Board of Commissioners chairperson, shares in the welcome video.

“We in Ramsey County honor our past while always looking toward the future, growing through new opportunities each day,” Reinhardt says in the video.

“Affinity Plus got its start in St. Paul as State Capitol Credit Union,” Larson said in a statement. “Our roots definitely are here, even as we have branched out to serve members across Minnesota and beyond.”
