PARCHMENT, Mich.–Advia Credit Union is set to break ground on a new headquarters building this Spring.
The 150,000-square-building is to be on a 38-acre parcel on the north side of West Main St., west of Kalamazoo, according to WKFR.
Advia said the new three-story building will have space for 460 employees, but will initially house approximately 240 employees from 32 departments. In addition to the headquarters, the building will have retail space for "locally owned businesses" on the first floor as well as additional rooms for seminars, events, and community outreach, WKFR reported. The plan is to also have outdoor terraces overlook a landscaped water feature.
Advia was recently featured in CUToday.info here as the first credit union to buy three separate banks.
The $1.7-billion Advia Credit Union has approximately 155,000 members.
