LAKE MARY, Fla.– Addition Financial Credit Union said it has expanded a partnership with Seminole State College of Florida’s Nursing program, as the latter is also seeking to expand.
According to the credit union, the partnership with the college, which dates to 2012, now extends to the community college’s growing nursing program, following a $10,000 support investment by the credit union.
The nursing program will be expanding in the coming years, as Seminole State College has purchased additional property adjacent to the Altamonte Springs, Fla. campus, Addition Financial said.
Areas of Partnership
The areas of partnership include:
- Addition Financial is the preferred credit union of Seminole State College
- An Addition Financial branch on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus
- A Seminole State College branded debit card which donates funds to the Foundation for Seminole State College for each purchase on behalf of Addition Financial
- Financial education for Seminole State students, including the nursing program that welcomes 500 new students every semester.

“Addition Financial is excited about growing our longstanding relationship with Seminole State College,” Richard Barbari, community engagement manager with Addition Financial CU said in a statement. “By partnering with their nursing program, we will provide their students the resources and tools they need to reach their financial goals. Not only does this new partnership deepen our support of Seminole State but also shows our continued focus in supporting the healthcare industry in Central Florida.”

In addition to with Seminole State College, Addition Financial also partners with the University of Central Florida’s College of Nursing and HCA Florida Osceola Hospital.
