ALEXANDRIA, Va. – In place of its postponed 30th annual conference, the Association of Credit Union Internal Auditors (ACUIA) held a Conference Webinar.
According to the ACUIA, with more than 560 attendees, the webinar series exceeded the group’s expectations. In fact, the ACUIA said it had to increase the size of its webinar meeting room to accommodate the record number of attendees.
Sessions during the series included “Cybersecurity in the COVID Age,” “The Evolving Role of the Chief Risk Officer,” “Cannabis Banking,” and “The Expectations of the Audit Report.” Speakers included representatives from ACUIA’s Vendor Partner program, Doeren Mayhew, Moss Adams, TCT Risk Solutions, Rochdale Paragon, Temenos, Wipfli, Sherpy & Jones P.A., Crowe LLP, Nearman, Maynard, Vallez, CliftonLarsonAllen, BKD, and Elliott Davis.
High-Quality Education
“While we would have preferred to be in D.C. with our fellow internal auditors, risk professionals and supervisory committee members, this webinar series allowed ACUIA to provide the high-quality education and training for which we are known,” said ACUIA Chair Jill Meznarich. “As was the case with many groups, we had to alter our plans for the annual conference. It was encouraging to witness the large number of our members who turned out for these sessions.”
In addition to the annual conference, ACUIA said it hosts regional meetings at its six regions, monthly webinars, publishes a quarterly magazine and hosts a robust members-only online forum. The organization is managed by Bacino & Associates.
