WASHINGTON--All 14 America’s Credit Unions PAC-backed candidates in Illinois won their primaries on Tuesday, ACU reported.
Two races to note include the 7th and 8th Congressional Districts. Former Member of Congress Melissa Bean continues her comeback bid by taking 31% of the vote against Junaid Ahmed to win the Democratic nomination in Illinois’ 8th Congressional District. La Shawn K. Ford took the Democratic nomination in the 7th Congressional District, securing his path to the general election.
Other PAC-supported winners include all twelve incumbents seeking re-election to the House.
