MADISON, Wis.—The World Council of Credit Unions has launched what it said is a more user-friendly homepage at www.woccu.org, featuring the services it provides
to credit unions around the world, as well the latest news and events important to each of those focus areas.
According to WOCCU, the site highlights:
- Advocacy work being done at the international level to reduce regulatory burdens for credit unions.
- Financial Inclusion work in the developing world.
- A Digital Transformation Lab, which seeks to expand digital financial services worldwide.
- Learning and Education programs, such as The Global Classroom.
- The Worldwide Foundation’s efforts to “Do Global Good.”
- Engagement opportunities for members through our Worldwide Foundation and Global Women’s Leadership Network.
New Areas Introduced
“We want to communicate the multidimensional work we do to defend and grow credit unions as soon as they land on our homepage,” said WOCCU President and CEO Brian Branch. “A couple of new areas on the webpage are the Digital Transformation Lab, where we share industry best practices on the way to achieve our vision of the digitization of the global credit union system, and the Engagement section, where we invite the movement to participate with us in the field. The webpage allows first-time guests to easily learn about all the areas we reach, while frequent visitors can find the latest updates without having to search for them.”
WOCCU said the new homepage also features easy-to-find navigation that leads to more information about World Council’s mission and history, its network of credit union associations and supporters, and upcoming events, such as its annual World Credit Union Conference.
