A True Holiday Gift: Via Stella Foundation, Poland’s Credit Unions Provide 3 More Ambulances to Ukraine

LUBLIN, Poland–The Via Stella Foundation and Poland’s credit unions continue to provide support and much-needed ambulances to the people of Ukraine.

The foundation, a joint U.S./Polish effort to raise funds to support Ukraine’s credit unions and Ukrainian refugees, has turned over the keys to three more ambulances to be used in the Nikopol region. Many cities and towns in Ukraine lack ambulances, as they are being used as part of the response to the attack by Russia upon the country.

The presentation of the three new ambulances took place in Lublin, Poland, with great support from SKOK Chmielewski credit union and its foundation, Fundacja Spółdzielczej Kasy Oszczędnościowo-Kredytowej im. Zygmunta Chmielewskiego.

Additional Support Provided

The ambulances are just the latest donation from the Via Stella Foundation and Poland’s credit unions. As CUToday.info reported here, last week the foundation donated a truck to be used in the same region, and as CUToday.info has also reported earlier when it accompanied representatives of Poland’s CUs to Ukraine, has also provided other ambulances.  The Via Stella Foundation has also provided support to a women’s clinic, an orphanage, credit unions in Ukraine, and more.

The Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions has also been providing support.
