COLUMBUS, Ohio–Members of CME FCU here who have an “ez Money” checking account are receiving a bonus.
The credit union said it is paying out $58,307 to the nearly 4,000 members who have an ez Money checking account, which comes to about $14.83 per account.
Account-holders who use their debit card for signature-based transactions are able to get seven cents for every swipe of their debit card. For a limited time, CME FCU said it is also doubling members’ cash back through Dec. 31, meaning members will earn 14 cents each time they swipe their debit card.
“CME Federal Credit Union is thrilled to be able to give back this much money to its members, and is especially excited that the amount of money given back to members has increased by $23,371.79 since 2015,” said CME CEO Jeff Carpenter in a statement.
“CME continues to look for ways to save members money, in addition we have saved members over $563,000 in interest just since May, added Dave Whiting, CME board chairman.
The $280-million CME FCU has 31,500 members.
