FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio–A 74-year-old woman here has been arrested for allegedly robbing a credit union branch here.
Police said they have arrested Ann Mayers, who does not have a criminal history, in the robbery of AurGroup Credit Union.
According to police, Mayers walked into the bank on Creekside Drive with a gun and demanded money from employees, WXIX reported.
The 74-year-old left the scene in a 2014 Hyundai Elantra, and she was found later at her home on Parrish Avenue in Hamilton, the report added.
Police said Mayers admitted to robbing the bank as officers took her into custody.
Mayers has been charged with aggravated robbery with a firearm and tampering with evidence, according to the Fairfield Township Police Department.
