OLD TOWN, Maine — Maine Savings FCU opened a new branch here with an announcement it will provide a gift of at least $50,000 to the University of Maine athletics department.
MSFCU has entered into a five-year deal with the university in which each transaction in which the CU’s new Black Bear debit card is used will result in a donation to UMaine’s Black Bear Fund. Maine Savings said it will contribute a minimum of $10,000 per year to the fund, but expects the donation to be even higher.
