…4 Credit Unions Quickly Offer $100 To Wells Fargo Customers To Become Members

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Responding quickly to the latest bad news for Wells Fargo customers, credit unions in four states are offering $100 incentives to anyone affected by the glitch that drained customer accounts last week.

The four credit unions–Fresno Fire Department CU in California, Power Financial CU in Florida, First Financial FCU in New Jersey, and Caro Smart Financial Solutions CU in South Carolina, are all clients of the agency Your Marketing Co. in South Carolina.

Some of the credit unions are even offering to pay off related NSF fees that were triggered by the error, although the bank has said it will reimburse any overdraft charges.

Noting that Wells Fargo addressed the glitch by tweeting, “Some customers may be having an issue with their Bill Pay transactions. Thanks for your patience while we research the issue. We’ll keep you updated,” Bo McDonald, president of Your Marketing Co., said, “That doesn’t exactly evoke confidence Our credit unions are much better than that. In the ‘people helping people’ world of credit unions, we want Wells Fargo customers to know that there is a better banking experience.”

In the piece being distributed by the four credit unions (shown at right), a series of screen grabs is reproduced followed by the offer of $100 to switch.
