WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn.–360 Federal Credit Union said it is challenging its members and community to save $350,000 in loan interest saved through refinancing loans from other financial institutions.
On Aug. 1, 360 FCU said it will launch its Community Savings challenge where, in addition to the $350,000 goal, it will donate a total of $6,000 to three local charities that the community will vote on.
“We are excited to announce our second Community Savings Challenge starting August 1,” said Rosey Wemmell, lending manager at 360 FCU. “Last year we reached our goal of $250,000 in just under five months. This year we increased the goal to $350,000 and hope to reach it before the end of the year. Helping our members save money while contributing to local charities is central to our core purpose.
Members will be able to vote for the charity they want to receive the donation on the CU’s website at www.360fcu.org or through the link on its Facebook page.
