3 Rivers Plans 3 Branches as It Plans to Widely Expand Physical Presence in Indiana

FORT WAYNE, Ind.–3Rivers FCU has announced plans to build three new branches in Central Indiana and it widely expands its physical presence in the state.

Property has been secured and construction has begun on three future 3Rivers Credit Union locations in Muncie, Pendleton, and Fortville Indiana. The completed branches are expected to open by the end of the year, the credit union said.

The $2-billion 3Rivers reported the total investment for the three branches is approximately $7.5 million. All three branches will be new markets for the credit union, widely expanding its current physical presence in Indiana, it said.

In all, 3Rivers has 21 branches in the Northeast and East Central Indiana, having acquired Richmond, Indiana-based West End Bank in June of 2020. The credit union has more than 110,000 members.

3Rivers said it  working with Fort Wayne-based Strategic Growth Advisors (SGA) on the design and building of these facilities. Each open concept branch building will be around 3,000 square feet, with separate rooms for business, mortgage, and investment services, separate drive-thru lanes, and ATMs. Each branch will feature the work of local artists.

“We’re excited to bring a new, local banking option and our unique approach to financial wellness to central Indiana,” said President and CEO Don Cates. “3Rivers has continued to grow and thrive with the trust of our members, and we believe our strong community brand and culture will prove to be a good fit and value to our new communities.
