CHULA VISTA, Calif.–North Island Credit Union has purchased naming rights to a well-known amphitheater here following the signing of a multi-year agreement with Live Nation.
The newly named North Island Credit Union amphitheater hosts more than 30 concerts and more than 300,000 fans per year.
Members of the credit union will be offered a dedicated member entrance, discounted ticket pricing, and promotions for tickets and exclusive fan experiences throughout the year, according to North Island.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“This marketing alliance further underscores a shared commitment by the two organizations to provide an extraordinary experience for credit union members and music fans in the San Diego area,” the credit union said. “Both organizations view the sponsorship as much more than a name change and are working together to continue to enhance the fan experience from a 360° perspective.”
What Agreement Includes
As part of the agreement, North Island Credit Union said its representatives will be on-site throughout the concert season to engage with fans, provide giveaways and prizes, and to offer information on credit union benefits and services.
"As we were exploring new avenues to support our community, bring more benefits to our members, and extend our brand awareness, the incredible opportunity to partner with Live Nation at this local venue proved to be a natural fit for both of our brands,” said North Island CU CEO Steve O’Connell. “North Island Credit Union's vision for our member experience aligned seamlessly with Live Nation's commitment to the fan experience. Together, we will combine our resources to bring a truly unique Southern California concert experience to North Island Credit Union members and all fans. We think fans will be excited about all that North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre will have to offer when the new season kicks off."
The facility, formerly known as the Mattress Firm Amphitheater, was opened in 1998 and has a capacity of 20,000 people.
The $3-billion North Island Credit Union has more than 165,000 members and 24 branches.
