MADISON, Wis.–Two Wisconsin credit unions are merging. The tiny STAR Credit Union, with just $31,000 in assets and 707 members, will merge into the $3.2-billion Summit Credit Union, which has nearly 184,000 members.
Members of STAR have voted in favor of the combination.
The credit unions said the merger should be complete by April 1. The STAR CU website already redirects to Summit’s site.
