2 People Are Banned from Credit Unions

ALEXANDRIA, Va. –NCUA has issued two prohibition notices in November, which ban both individuals from participating in the affairs of any federally insured financial institution.

Issued the prohibition notices were: 

  • Jennifer Furlong, a former employee of Groton Municipal Employees FCU in Groton, Conn., who entered into a pretrial diversion or similar program resulting in the charge of third degree larceny in connection with her employment.
  • Teresa Hyler, a former employee of Beacon Credit Union in Lynchburg, Va., who was sentenced on a charge of embezzlement in connection with her employment.

NCUA reminded prohibition and administrative orders are searchable by name, institution, city, state, and year at the NCUA’s Administrative Orders webpage. The webpage also provides links to the federal enforcement actions of federal banking agencies against other institutions or their affiliated parties.
