CHAMBERSBURG, Penn.–1st Ed Credit Union has secured the first naming-rights deal in Chambersburg Area School District under which the indoor track at Chambersburg Area Senior High School will be known as the 1st Ed Credit Union Indoor Track.
There will be two signs in the fieldhouse, where the track is located, for three years, the CU said.
“1st Ed Credit Union’s founding fathers originated from Chambersburg Area School District to assist the financial needs of local educators,” Kelly Childress, CEO at 1st Ed, said in a news release. “Since then, we remain an education-based credit union with the majority of our membership being educators, school employees, and students.”
The district announced in October that it would begin the naming-rights initiative to generate additional revenue for the school district by providing marketing opportunities to local businesses and organizations.
