WASHINGTON—In 60 days the Federal reserve will offer additional insights into its reasoning for calculating transaction-monitoring costs in the base interchange fee calculation under its rule implementing the Durbin Amendment of the Dodd-Frank Act.

BOSTON—A man here has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge following a sophisticated fraud that involved using a telephone to hack into a home equity credit line that belonged to a member of 360 FCU. The Journal-Inquirer reported the man, Gerald A. Burke, 23, who works at a fast food chain, was able to use the scam to steal $68,000 from the member.
