DENVER, Colo.– Three Credit Union Development Education (DE) Program Awards were presented during a special reception at the annual DE Workshop here held in conjunction with the jointly held America’s Credit Union Conference and World Credit Union Conference. The DE Program Awards go to those certified Credit Union Development Educators (CUDEs) who exemplify what DE stands for through their individual or cooperative efforts to make a difference in their credit union, community or on a national/international basis. 

DENVER–CUNA CEO Jim Nussle, attending both his first America’s Credit Union Conference and World Council World CU Conference, said credit unions in not just the U.S. but around the world need to “deliberately” create their own future.

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has vetoed a number of provisions that were included in a Senate Budget Bill “wrap-up motion” that would have expanded the powers of payday lenders to offer new services. The Wisconsin Credit Union League was among a coalition of business groups that urged the veto.
