WASHINGTON–Dixies FCU President and CEO Scott Eagerton testified before Congress that the “overwhelming tidal wave” of regulations, especially in the wake of the Dodd-Frank Act, is hurting credit unions and, as a result, their members.

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—By a 3-0 vote the NCUA board Thursday approved a final rule to raise the definition—and Regulatory Flexibility threshold—for small credit unions to $100 million.

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—During NCUA’s open board meeting Thursday, the agency approved Charlotte Metro FCU’s request to expand its community charter—and in doing so announced that the CU may be the one of the last community charter applications to require NCUA board approval.
