WASHINGTON—While numerous analysts have long stated that small institutions, such as credit unions, are becoming bigger targets for hackers, a new warning is being issued to big banks that crooks are zeroing in on their data.

WASHINGTON—A number of federal departments and agencies, including NCUA, have issued a statement to address instances in which certain banks and credit unions may decide to enter into collaborative arrangements to share resources to manage their Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and anti-money laundering (AML) obligations more efficiently and effectively. 

WASHINGTON—CUNA said it “applauds NCUA’s timely implementation” of provisions in the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act (S. 2155) and continues to await fulfillment of several provisions by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.
